While teaching is a profession where no news seems to be good news, we do occasionally get some nice 'warm fuzzies' from our Year 12s at the end of the year. Because I am a sentimental person, I thought it would be nice to start recording them somewhere, and the 12 English wiki seemed the appropriate space.

  • I just wanted to thank you once again for the incredible lessons you taught me last year - my university assignments are only a couple of hundred words each so I keep thinking of you! I have saved all the "cheat sheets" off the wiki and I'm using them a lot to cut down my words and stay concise! HG is in a few of my subjects and she has been picking up on her use of banned words - you are in our thoughts!! EC
  • Thankyou for everything you taught me last year. I have learnt so much from you and you have inspired me to continue learning with patience and that practise makes perfect. English never felt that difficult but I have made the biggest improvements so far. YK

Was in Nepal for long service leave at the end of the year.

  • Thankyou so much for helping me in English this year, because of you my writing has improved 110%. You are such a passionate and dedicated teacher and this year you have gone well out of your way to help the class. The way you teach is very engaging and because of you the English course was fun and engaging. The feedback you gave me throughout the year was so useful and really pushed me to reach my potential. Thankyou again for everything. EH
  • Thankyou so much! Without your continual help I wouldn't have been able to get A- for everything :) SR
  • Dear Ms Hunt, I'd like to thank you for all the things you've taught me this year. The standard of my work has significantly increased since being in your class. I hope my little sister has you for an English teacher in the near future because I know she will benefit greatly from it! Thanks again, ML
  • Dear Ms Hunt, Thankyou for all your help this year. Thankyou for all your time and effort in answering my many questions and receiving all my drafts and emails. I am satisfied that I couldn't have done anything more in English this year. I wish you and your family all the best! Thanks, CS
  • Black Belt In Literature award from the class of 2012. On behalf of Ms Hunt's English Communications class this year I would like to thank Ms Hunt for her hard work, engaging lessons and the amazing feedback she has given our work. Throughout the year our class has completed numerous writing tasks including a horror narrative, film analysis, photobook, and picture book analysis. Ms Hunt has made all of these tasks interesting, exciting, and rewarding and the difference between our first draft and our final produce is phenomenal thanks to her extremely detailed drafts in which she puts her 110% efforts. Ms Hunt is an extremely passionate teacher and goes well out of her way to help the class in times of need, giving us all of the information and resources we need to perform at our best and always finding a way to make our awkward sentences sound logical and fluent. I would like to present Ms Hunt with the 'Black Belt in Literature Award'. This award complements her expertise in English, also acknowledging the fact that bad grammar does not stand a chance against Ms Hunt and her occasionally lethal drafts. Once again I would like to thank Ms Hunt for a great year of English.
